The Illmitz reed cutters are called reed wolves. Our farm has been cutting reeds on Lake Neusiedl in winter for decades. This wine was harvested so late that the “reed wolves”, which are normally already working in the reeds at this time, had to leave their territory again to harvest this selection. Brilliant ruby violet colour. Fine sour cherry flavours. Interesting interplay of sugar and tannin.
